A Grandmother's Playground

My grandson entered my life today
So precious and pure
So innocent he lay

His tiny pink fingers and tiny pink nose
All cuddly and sweet
Right down to his toes

A face like a cherub with little chipmunk cheeks
The image of his father
I study as he sleeps

Like candy to my heart, fresh breath to my soul
A grandmother's playground
Such love to behold

My life's filled with love and with laughter and joy
With thanks and with wonder
Of this new little boy

Birth is a miracle, of this I am sure
With every new baby
I am blessed even more

Welcome to the world, my precious one
May your life be filled
With love, laughter and fun

Love Forever And Ever
